28 : PSSA N 22; B-437.6;

3 : coral sanctuary (((new attribute)))

Environmentally Sensitive Sea Area (ESSA):

a generic term which may be used to describe a wide range of areas, considered sensitive for a variety of environmental reasons. (IHO Chart Specifications, M-4)

Particularly Sensitive Sea Area (PSSA):

an area that needs special protection through action by IMO because of its significance for recognized ecological, socioeconomic, or scientific attributes where such attributes may be vulnerable to damage by international shipping activities (International Maritime Organization). coral sanctuary:

a place where coral is protected
