ESSA and PSSA removed in line with Jens' post above.
Coral sanctuary needs to be part of a general proposal of additions and ammendments from SNPWG to TSMAD for the S-101 feature catalogue.

My recollection is that ecological reserve (value 23) was not specific enough for coral reserve, and therefore a new value has been proposed. But if we don’t think it matters for ENCs, and we’ll just use this for MPAs, then this is not the place to propose this, it should rather go into the registry, and we’ll use it there for the MPA feature catalogue.
DavidAcland 09:46, 13 May 2011 (UTC) I have been trying to discover if Coral sanctuary really exists or if it is just someone's good idea. So far I have not seen any reference to the types of MPA that we envisage in CATREA in the UNEPP and MPA discussions. I have asked Tom and Holly if they can throw any light on this.
DavidAcland 14:33, 25 May 2011 (UTC) Heard back from Tom that this came from TSMAD. The protection of coral reef ecosystems was a major driver for the UNEP coming to IHO to get MPAs charted. See Craig Winn's report to TSMAD 17. http://www.iho-ohi.net/mtg_docs/com_wg/TSMAD/TSMAD17/TSMAD17-5.1_MEP.pdf I think that this gives us enough to propose CATREA=29.
