raphael 21:48, 12 February 2010 (UTC):Should recreational activities be added, for material specifically for recreational craft and activities?
12: recreation

pleasure sailing, operation of watercraft for pleasure or recreation, regattas, recreational fishing, or sightseeing

jens 11:39, 15 February 2010 (UTC) I have no idea at the moment. I am in doubt whether the whole construction, as provided, makes sense. I see the risk of cross references to existing obj/attr. particularly to areas with restrictions (RESTRN).

DavidAcland 16:26, 21 February 2011 (UTC) I have two comments both leading to "No".

In general terms we are mainly dealing with commercial vessels regulated by SOLAS convention. This might just take in the top end of the leisure market for super yachts but even these do not operate in quite the same way as merchant vessels.

But secondly, in the context of RXNCOD, "ACTION" needs to be something pretty precise like "overtaking", "entry" or "passage" along a particular waterway. "Recreation" does not seem to me to be sufficiently precise to work in ACTION.

jens 18:26, 21 February 2011 (UTC) David, Your argument convinces me too. No, for extending recreation activities.

raphael (talk) 09:23, 23 May 2018 (CEST): "passing" was added in March 2017
16 : passing
Navigating a vessel past another traveling broadly in the opposite direction.
