jens (talk) 20:58, 22 January 2017 (CET) I could see that this might be an enumerate. But by making that an enumarate, we loose future flexibility if new technologies emerge. What would be "authoritative definition"? Is Webster not an offical dictionary?

Proposed updated definition: Classification of methods of communication over a distance by electrical or electromagnetic means.
Compare to current registry definition "Methods to communicate between involved parties over a distance."
