raphael 00:08, 25 August 2009 (UTC): This attribute demonstrates one solution to the problem of creating multi-language datasets. It merely uses the INFORM attribute from S-57 and adds an attribute that specifies the language used in the accompanying INFORM. Since it is a complex attribute, applications will be able to determine the language of the content in INFORM by examining the value of the LANGGE variable attached to that instance. An object could have multiple instances of the INFOML attribute, each in a different language. (TSMAD is expected to examine the issue of multi-language datasets.)
Given INFOML, the NINFOM attribute (Information in national language) is no longer needed.
(Update: The references are the same as for INFORM in S-57.)
